Kam Carter is one of the most impactful guards in the Class of 2026 and a true point guard who consistently sets the tone on both ends of the floor. Known as one of the best lockdown defenders and facilitators in high school basketball, Carter brings toughness, composure, and leadership every time he steps on the court.

A standout at Archbishop Spalding High School, Carter has built a reputation for his ability to control tempo, pressure opposing guards, and make winning plays. His defensive intensity, court vision, and unselfish approach separate him as a floor general who prioritizes team success. Whether disrupting passing lanes, initiating offense, or locking in on the opponent’s best guard, Carter impacts the game in multiple ways.
During the 2024–25 high school season, Carter consistently made his presence felt as a two-way guard. He recorded 12 games with 5+ assists, highlighting his ability to facilitate and elevate his teammates, while also posting 9 games with 3+ steals, reinforcing his status as one of the premier defensive guards in his class. His production, leadership, and defensive consistency played a major role in his team’s success throughout the season.
On the grassroots circuit, Carter played a key role in leading Team Thrill to a UAA Championship appearance, showcasing his ability to perform at a high level against elite national competition. His poise, toughness, and playmaking were instrumental in Team Thrill’s deep postseason run.
Personal
Kam Carter was born on February 27, 2007, in Baltimore, Maryland. He has four siblings: Kennedy (23), Tyon (23), Tyler (15), and Karson (7). His pregame routine includes eating, getting a shoot-around in, and listening to music to lock in mentally. Carter describes himself as selfless, and his goals for the season include winning the MIAA and BCL championships while achieving 25+ team wins.
Outside of basketball, Carter enjoys playing NBA 2K and listening to music. His favorite song and artist is “Shock da World” by Rod Wave. He enjoys watching the movie Home Alone and is a fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Los Angeles Lakers.
